Most websites are catered to women and choice is often a luxury. Perhaps there is logic to this. There is no doubt that, in the equestrian world there are significantly more women than men and, what men there are, are more willing to compromise on certain factors. However, I know that for myself and many of my male friends that ride horses, we place significant focus on quality, utility, and value-for-money.
This is where I found myself drawn to EQUIDRY. For the first time on a website, I was presented with equal choice as a male equestrian with loads of colours and styles to choose from. Fair enough, I perhaps do not see myself in the ‘Penelope Pink Faux Fur’ option, but there’s no judgement to any men that can pull it off!
I was also drawn to the 20,000mm waterproof rating (yes, I am one of the nerds that looks up waterproof ratings…), which was the highest I could find anywhere, and the price, while higher than some, was in the same bracket as most competitors but with far more benefits, better ratings and better reviews. I found a colour that I loved and being fed up with cold wet horsey days, decided to take the plunge.
Now that I own my own EQUIDRY (the long thick fleece with fleece lined hood ‘All Rounder Evolution’), I love the quality and feel of it. Most importantly though, is the fact it keeps me warm and dry, and boy have I tested it in some horrendous weather!! I was so glad that I chose EQUIDRY over other brands with lower waterproof ratings. I wasn’t sure whether it would be worth the difference, but if I am going to spend £150+ on a coat then I might as well pick the very best I can find!
Ultimately, I chose EQUIDRY as it offered everything I look for in men's equestrian clothing:

- Value-for-Money – £20 more than competitors felt like a small price to pay for higher waterproofing, breathability, quality and a history of 5 star reviews.
I would 100% buy again and, in fact, have already placed an order for an EQUIDRY Shortie to add to my collection!
